The initial burial sites for Oconee Hill Cemetery from 1856 encompassed about 18 acres. Once those were taken, property across the North Oconee River was purchased and since 1901 the new section has been sold. There are those who would like to have spaces in the original, old section of Oconee Hill. We have now developed ten lots (8 grave spaces) on West Hill, next to Sanford Stadium. These are estate lots and will be the last spaces that will ever be available in the old section of Oconee Hill Cemetery. Each lot is $250,000 and will be sold only as complete lots, or eight spaces.
